Is a small village located on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is surrounded by reservoirs with lots of marked footpaths and bridal ways. This is a popular area for walkers.

is "Ye Olde Mustard Pot" and is just 2 mins walk. The pub is full of old world charm with Oak beams, Stone Floors and Walls and Log Fires in Winter. They serve good food and you would be advised to book in advance at busy times and weekends. The beer garden and children's area are always popular.


Midhope Lodge is ideally situated being Just 10 mins from the M1 motorway on the road to Manchester (40-50 mins). Sheffield and Barnsley are about 15mins drive. Holmfirth ( TV location for "Last of the Summer Wine") is just 15 mins by car. Chatsworth and Buxton about 30 mins.
